The large gum leaf measures about 55mm in length.
The front is red snake skin and the back is plain red kangaroo leather. (I forgot to take a photo of the back but will update that later). The little leaf in front is a single layer of green kangaroo leather.
Kangaroo leather is a bit like cardboard – very light and comfortable on the ears. Snake skin is ultra fine and fragile, requiring a leather like kangaroo to adhere to. This is a very light combination, despite the length of the earring.
This layered gum leaf design can be quite playful when the head turns (as the shapes move).
