Welcome to my little leather corner of the web. The aim of Hooked On Leather is to share some of my creative energy with like-minded souls. Not everyone covets a pair of snake (or snake-skin) earrings but I do – and I’m guessing you might too, since you’re here.

There is no fast-machine production line in my studio; just a treasured, sunny nook, where I get into ‘the zone’ once a week or so. Why leather? …I always had a thing for unusual earrings – wooden ones, metal ones, ceramic and resin. When I discovered the versatility and suppleness of leather, I was hooked in more ways than one. It’s the next in a list of creative pursuits. I’ve now traded my fabric stash (for clothes-sewing) for a little leather stash instead. Apologies to vegans but I figure leather is already a by-product and a nicer resource than synthetic materials.

Due to the organic nature of leather, and the idiosyncracies of being handmade, no two earrings are exactly alike, which to me, is part of their charm – especially in today’s fast-paced AI-perfect milieu.
